North east local enterprise

We are working in close partnership with Denis Healey and Nicola Tempest-Hall (Enterprise Adviser) in delivering aspects of our careers programme, in particular links with employment sector.

Durhamworks programme for schools

Durhamworks Programme for Schools is a service provide preventative to NEET support, offering one-to-one mentoring with a Progression Mentor, and Group Work activities to prepare for employment.  

British army supporting education

Personnell from BASE have attended school to deliver subject related topics in class such as Cyber Security presentation to a class of Y10 Computer Science students.  BASE officers also attend our careers fair to provide students with careers information and advice on joining the Army.

CAREERWAVE

Careerwave have been delivering one-to-one Careers information, advice and guidance (CIAG) sessions with Key Stage 4 pupils.  All of those in Year 11 have been provided with an opportunity to speak with a qualifiied careers guidance practitioner, and supported towards their post-16 employment, education and training plans.

GLEEDS

Emily from Gleeds provided our school with invaluable support in planning our annual careers fair.

FutureME

FUTUREME university mentors provided students from our school with sessions on University experiences and topics to better understand options linked to higher education study.

UNIFROG

Our Unifrog Account Manager, Kathryn is key to supporting our school with the use of Unifrog as a key part for recording all of our careers activities and a great resource for students and staff.

North east ambition

Supporting all north east schools and colleges to achieve the Good Career Guidance Benchmarks by 2024.

ASK apprenticeships

Jodene from ASK apprenticeships has attended our school to deliver assemblies on apprenticeships as a pathway after Year 11.
