Torrey Pines High School
Welcome Falcons! Here at TP, counselors strive to provide a comprehensive counseling program addressing the academic, career and personal/social development of all students. Our counselors are student advocates who provide support to maximize student potential and academic achievement. We are committed to our students being college and career ready when they graduate.
Students are always welcome to drop in before school, lunch or after school without an appointment. Parents can contact Jan Daher, counseling assistant, to schedule an appointment.

2018 -2019 CLASS CHANGES
Counselors do not address schedule changes via email or phone. Per SDUHSD district policy, the only schedule changes which can be made (during readiness days and the four week add/drop period) include the following and are only based on availability:
- Adjustments based on completion of pre-approved summer coursework
- To repeat a course for remediation
- To change levels between College Prep, Honors and Advanced Placement
- To add a course required for graduation or college eligibility
- To request or fill an unscheduled period.
If you are seeking a necessary change, please visit your counselor in person during your assigned readiness day or during the first 4 weeks of school. The deadline to make schedule changes is Wednesday, September 26.
Aeries contains student grades, assignments, teacher contacts, transcript and graduation status. Use Aeries regularly to monitor classroom performance and address any potential problems before progress reports and final grades. Parents can update their own email addresses in the Aeries parent portal to continue to receive all notices and information from SDUHSD. If you need assistance, please contact our counseling assistant, Jan Daher.
