We are looking forward to working with you and your student during the upcoming years. This SDUHSD Welcome Letter includes important information about the enrollment process for the 2026-2027 academic school year.
Enrollment is based on residency, not on the elementary school your student attended. Use this Boundary Locator to see which middle school is yours.
The Counseling Office is open during school hours. All enrollment begins online.

Course selection information and forms will be provided through the virtual parent presentation. Follow directions when filling out the Course Contract. Each student should pick 3 electives and mark choice preferences 1-3 (1 is top choice, 3 is last choice). They will get 1-year long elective.
If an elective requires an application it must be filled out immediately. Those links will be found on our website. Failure to fill out the application will eliminate the elective choice for the student.
If your student is applying for ISPE and will also take a Music Class (Band or Orchestra), they should indicate this on the course contract by checking the correct boxes and selecting the music class as their #1 choice. They will have the option of having a 2nd elective if they fill out the form with all elective choices. An ISPE application must be submitted to the district and approved.
