Meet the PALs

Emily is a Senior and a third-year PAL. In her free time, she enjoys playing soccer, spending time with her dog, cooking/baking, and spending time with her friends & family. Emily’s goal in PAL’s is to always be there when someone needs a helping hand, and to do her part in instilling a sense of community at CCA. Emily loves meeting new people so never be afraid to reach out and say hello! 

Hannah is a senior and second-year PAL! In her free time, she enjoys reading (especially Jane Austen and John Green), spending time with friends, participating in iCAN (a healthcare and teen advocacy group), and acting. Hannah is elated to return as a part of PALs and is committed to promoting wellness through events. Feel free to say “Hi” if you see her on campus; she is always available if you need to talk to someone!    

Xavio is a senior and a second-year PAL. He loves food, anime, music, and lacrosse, and he loves broadening his horizons (please put him on food, anime, music, etc.) Moving from the East Coast in the middle of the pandemic, he gets how tough meeting new people can be. So, he wants to be here to help anyone going through the same situation. He also has an alter ego known as Pebbles the Penguin. Feel free to say hello to either of them if you see them on campus :)

Jolene Rabkin is a senior and a second year PAL. She likes to play field hockey and loves sculpture, baking, and listening to music. She feels it is crucial to take time for yourself and practice self-care. She is a food lover at heart and will always have a snack in hand, ready to share. She hopes you will stop by and say hello if you see her on campus!

McKenna is a Senior and a second year PAL. She loves playing soccer and has been playing since she was four years old. She also loves hanging out at the beach, wakeboarding, and waterskiing. She is passionate about traveling the world and seeing new places. She also loves listening to music while driving around with friends. McKenna is excited to put on wellness events for the school, and is always free if you want to talk!

Josh is a Senior and third year PAL. In school he is involved with EVA Conservatory and Flowers for the Future. He loves to bike, hike, paint, and read and would be more than happy to talk to anyone who needs it. 

Vicky is a senior and a first-year PAL! She is a sprinter on the track team at CCA and enjoys drawing and painting in her free time. She is so excited to be a part of the PALs program and looks forward to all the awesome events in store this year. Vicky loves meeting new people, so please feel free to reach out!

Ellis is a senior and a first-year pal. She enjoys making pottery/ceramics and is a huge animal person. She loves to sing, dance, act, listen to and create music, draw, and spend time with her family and friends. She values self care and creating new connections and friendships, so if you ever see her on campus or need someone to talk to, don’t be afraid to say hi and reach out!

Juliana Reinsch-Goldstein

Juliana is a junior and a second year PAL. Juliana joined PALs because she has a passion for helping others. In her free time Juliana loves to create. She loves crocheting, sewing, drawing, and painting! She is also a HUGE swiftie! If you ever see her around school feel free to reach out and say hi!

Alissa Lai

Alissa is a junior and a second year PAL. Besides playing on the CCA tennis team, she loves to read (fiction only), tends to randomly burst into song, and is also a huge Swiftie. She also might have a slight (only slight) obsession with Harry Potter. Alissa is always looking to meet and help people, so don’t be shy and just say hi (forewarning: she does tend to have a slightly hysterical and maniacal cackle).

Sophie Geierstanger

Sophie is a junior and a second year PAL. She loves pole vaulting, listening to music, exploring nature, rockclimbing with friends and hanging out with dogs (and cats)! Sophie loves Lana Del Ray and watching Greys Anatomy. She also has an adorable dog named Balu (@baluslays)! She’s super excited for PALs this year! 

Amy Choi

Amy is a Junior and a first year PAL. She loves to bake, walk her dog, and listen to music. Amy plays kendo and teaches elementary students outside of school. You would often see her complaining about her homework she procrastinated on, but please say “Hi” 

Zara Sam

Zahra is a Junior and a first year PAL who loves to help others in any way possible. Her hobbies are playing sports for fun, hanging out and taking care of animals, photography, digital art, painting, fencing, math, and cooking. Zahra loves to socialize and is always kind and respectful of others. She is always available and happy to help!

Darla is a freshman and a first year PAL. She enjoys going on bike rides and purchasing Hello Kitty merchandise. Darla can also speak Spanish and is currently learning French on Duolingo. Although Darla finds math to be extremely hard, she enjoys reading and writing. Darla struggles with anxiety, so she understands how difficult it may be for some to connect with others, etc. Due to this, Darla aspires to create a comfortable and inclusive place for everyone. She also looks forward to making friends! 

Ian is a freshman and a first-year PAL. In his free time Ian like to bake/cook, play games, boulder, hike, camp, and do other outdoor activities. Ian looks forward to meeting new people and helping out around the campus, please feel free to talk to him whenever you need something.

Brooke is a Senior and a first-year PAL. In her free time, she enjoys going to soulcycle, and spending quality time with family. She loves going to concerts and listening to music like Harry Styles and Taylor Swift. She loves connecting with new people and would be more than willing to help out if you need it! 

Dottie is a senior in PALS; this is her second year in PALS! Dottie loves helping others, creating a positive community, and the connection that PALS offers. In her free time, Dottie likes acting, baking, listening to music, and singing in her band ! On campus, Dottie is a part of Theater Conservatory, Comedysportz, and is a Co-President of THE POTLUCK PACK. Dottie loved talking to people, so feel free to say hi!

As a junior and a first year PAL, Parker loves helping out with school events. He frequently hangs out with friends, takes part in thrill-seeking activities, and loves meeting new people. Parker’s goal in PALs is to uplift school spirit and bring a positive spin to the community.

Ahana Singh is a sophomore and second-year PAL. She spends her free time playing tennis and beach volleyball. Ahana also loves to go shopping, read, do adrenaline-rushing activities, and hang out with friends and family. As she has lived in different countries as well as lived all over the US, she understands the difficulty of coming to a new school and starting fresh. Her mission in PALs is to encourage positivity and create a safe space for those who need it. Make sure to say hello to her if you see her around campus! 

Quinn is a first-year PAL and a senior. She loves surfing, hanging out with friends, and scrapbooking in her free time! She is also on the CCA track and field and gymnastics team and she is so excited to be a PAL and meet new people. 

Patrick Funtila is a senior and a first time PAL. He loves cars, working on them, looking at them, and especially driving them. He also loves going to the gym and body building and can bench 275 pounds. He’s passionate about nursing and business and hopes to expand the business world into nursing further advancing society as a whole. Patrick is excited to be a part of PALs!
