Alissa is a senior and a third year PAL. When she’s not studying or playing tennis, she loves reading fiction, singing at inopportune times, and giving/making gifts for her friends and family. Going through high school and trying to find her people, identity, and passions was and still is a difficult journey, so Alissa hopes to create a safe space and community on campus for all people to feel welcomed and a sense of belonging. Sophie is a senior and a third year PAL. She loves listening to music, exploring nature, reading, trying new things and crafting! She also has an adorable dog named Balu (@baluslays)! Sophie is passionate about raising awareness about support resources available to students and creating a welcoming school environment at CCA. Ahana Singh is a junior and third-year PAL. She spends her free time playing tennis and beach volleyball. Ahana also loves to go shopping, read, do adrenaline-rushing activities, and hang out with friends and family. As she has lived in different countries as well as lived all over the US, she understands the difficulty of coming to a new school and starting fresh. Amy is a senior and a second year PAL. In her leisure time, she likes to binge watch shows, spend time with family and friends, and bake for her loved ones. She also likes to learn new hobbies and currently plays kendo. Amy’s reason for joining PALs is to create a welcoming environment and a safe space for all the students and staff on campus. Zahra is a Senior and a second year PAL who loves to help others in any way possible. Her interests vary from fencing and playing instruments to cooking, art, and community activities. Zahra has gone through the difficulty of inequity and being the odd one out at a young age and knows what it feels like to be in a new and harsh environment. Zahra loves to socialize and treats others how she wants to be treated. She is always available and happy to help, so don’t hesitate to say hi!
Charlotte is a senior and a first-year PAL! She's excited to get more involved in school this year through PALs and hopes to foster a positive community. Ian is a sophomore and a second-year PAL. In his free time Ian likes to bake/cook, play games, boulder, hike, camp, and do other outdoor activities. Ian is also involved in sports at CCA including lacrosse and wrestling. As a senior and a second year PAL, Parker loves helping out with school events. He frequently hangs out with friends, takes part in thrill-seeking activities, and loves meeting new people. Parker’s goal in PALs is to uplift school spirit and bring a positive spin to the community. He’s also a very good listener and will go to great lengths to help someone in need.

Reego-Darian Rivera
Sydney Applbaum is a Senior and first year PAL! She loves reading, writing, going to the beach, hanging out with friends, and playing with her pets! Sydney transferred from Torrey Pines going into her junior year, so she understands the struggles of getting adjusted to a new environment. Emma is a sophomore and a first year PAL. She has a huge heart for painting, crocheting, miniatures, puzzles, and any hands-on activity. Emma joined PALs because she knows how special it can feel when someone knows your name or is just there to listen. Even if she does have a little social anxiety, Emma’s always looking for a way to make other people feel welcomed, especially anyone struggling with mental health. She tries her best to remember people’s names and faces, so don’t be alarmed if she says hi around school!
Rozy is a freshman and a first-year PAL. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her cats, going to the beach, acting, spending time with her friends and family, and listening to music like Laufey, SZA, Steve Lacy, and many more artists! She loves traveling the world and seeing new places. She is on the field hockey and track & field team at CCA. Haarika Kota is a freshman and a first year PAL. She loves to spend her free time baking/cooking, reading, and hanging out with friends & family. She also plays the violin and enjoys swimming. Caitlin is a Junior and first-year PAL. She loves to read, bake, hike, and spend time with her animals, friends, and family. She realizes how difficult it can be to find your place in such a large, intimidating school, as she came from a tiny middle school and didn't know anyone her freshman year. Because of that, her main goal as a PAL is to foster connectivity on campus and make sure everyone feels like they belong in the CCA community. Olivia is a Sophmore and this is her first year in PALs. She loves listening to music, especially Taylor Swift and other artists including Olivia Rodrigo, Gracie Abrams, and Lauren Daigle. She enjoys doing high jump and sprinting on CCA's Track and Field team, going to Padres games, hanging out with family and friends, going to concerts, and watching shows. Aine is a freshman and a first year PAL. She loves reading, listening to music, and doing outdoor activities. Aine does competitive cycling which allows her to understand the stress of lots of pressure. In PALs, she strives to foster a community that is comfortable and welcoming. Serena is a freshman. She spends her free time climbing, doing art, reading, and caring for her animals. Her goal in PALs is to introduce more ways to de-stress around campus, and create connections within the CCA community. William is a freshman and a first-year PAL. In his free time, he loves playing with his dog, playing golf, reading, and watching k-dramas. His mission in PALS is to make sure everyone has someone to talk to and have a friend around when they need one. Jackson is a senior and a first year PAL. In his free time he enjoys playing soccer and is a sprinter on the track and field team. He also loves to read books and go to the beach with friends. Jackson’s goal in PALs is to provide an outlet for anyone needing a friend and he loves meeting new people so if you see him please say hi!
Ryland Haw is a junior and first-year PAL. In her free time, she enjoys binge-watching movies with her friends, riding roller coasters, and listening to music. As someone who came from a very small K-8 with almost nobody coming to CCA, she understands both the excitement and nervousness of new environments and people. Reego-Darian is a sophomore in high school and a first-year pal. Reego enjoys drawing, Boxing, and singing. Reego also loves to ride mountain bikes and make designs for cars. Reego is a very social person and plans to be a support figure in pals, he wants to learn different perspectives and make sure everyone gets the kindness and support they deserve. Jonathan Primosher is a junior at CCA and a first year PAL. He moved to San Diego when he was 4 years old. He was born in Haifa, Israel and speaks fluent Hebrew. Jonathan’s favorite food is sushi and poke. He loves to travel, and hang out with friends. In his free time, Jonathan also enjoys going to the gym, and listening to music. He has 4 siblings (including a twin sister) and has had many different pets throughout his childhood. Jonathan loves gummy candy and chipotle. In PALs, Jonathan’s goal is to help out in any way he can in supporting the community and students at Canyon Crest.
Shoshana Rafii is an 11th grader and first-year PAL at Canyon Crest Academy. As an active and creative student, she loves spending her free time playing tennis, boxing, running, and coloring. Shoshana is also deeply committed to volunteering, finding joy in giving back to her community. She joined the PAL program to help foster a supportive and inclusive environment at CCA, where she can connect with peers and promote kindness and empathy throughout the school. Roman Alper is a Freshman at CCA and a first time PAL. He enjoys playing golf, tennis, going to El Pueblo, and playing Roblox. Minato Garcia is a Junior and a first-year PAL. In his free time, he enjoys calling with friends, going on late night walks, studying Japanese, and playing video games. Minato was born in Japan and moved to America when he was only one year old. Will Rice (he/they) is a freshman and first-year PAL. In his free time, they enjoy reading, writing, listening to music, baking, theatre, going to national parks, and hanging out with friends. Ms. Cesca is the PALs advisor. She is also a math teacher on campus and it’s her fifth year at CCA. She loves supporting students and being a part of the CCA community. Outside of school, she enjoys going to concerts and playing with her dog, Eleanor.
