Targeted SLO:
Effective Communication
The Effective Communications student will use effective communication skills to express their opinions in a logical way while demonstrating active listening.
Suggested activity:
Start with discussion of expressing opinions in a non-threatening way, followed by a discussion of the importance of active listening.
A class discussion (either breakout groups or as a whole) on the topic of that week. Students will be assessed on participation and whether they were able to listen actively.

Did you participate in the discussion (y/n)
On a scale of 1 (low) to 5 (high), how effective were you in expressing your opinion and demonstrating active listening.
