3. The Literature Survey-OA student will be able to analyze character development by comparing and contrasting various characters of several short stories by authors, during group discussions.

Assessment questions:

Question 1: Did you participate in the class discussion? (y/n)

Question 2: Were you able to contribute your ideas about differences/similarities between this work and others we've read this semester? (y/n)

Question 3: On a scale of 1 to 5, how effective were you in participating in the class discussion (1 not at all to 5 very effective)?

Task suggestion:

Assessment Activity: In full class discussion, ask students to identify contrasts between characters in this work and others we've read this semester. Then ask these questions through written survey. This assessment could also include a breakout group discussion in addition to the full class discussion (to see if students are more conversant in small groups).
