Emma Avenue has been the heart of Springdale for over 130 years, named by the city’s first mayor, Joseph Holcomb, after his stepdaughter Emma Dupree Deaver; it once served as a central hub for shopping, business, agriculture, and community events, but declined as the city expanded and businesses moved away, and today it is being revitalized with new shops, activities, and events, restoring its role as a key destination and gathering place.
But today Emma is once again becoming a destination and community center with the arrival of new merchants, recreational activities, and diverse events. Emma has been reborn.
