Mrs. Schmuldt
Mrs. Schmuldt
Hey, 2nd grade! This is Mrs. Schmuldt and I'm so excited to be your teacher this year. We are going to have a lot of fun learning together.
I have been teaching a long time. I received my special education degree for teaching deaf and hard-of-hearing students over thirty years ago from Illinois State University. I taught for 5 years and then stayed home to raise my three children. I was a substitute teacher at Park View for about 15 years including being the Building Substitute for 3 years. This is my third year teaching full time in the second grade! I love Park View!
All 3 of my children attended Park View. Leslie and Peter are already out of college and Allison is a junior at Illinois State University.
My favorite activity is bike riding. I take my e-cargo bike to school most days and often ride it to pick up groceries or to go to the library or church. Mr. Schmuldt and I love taking the train with our folding Brompton bikes to explore new cities!

In our classroom, every student is valued, respected, and cared for. My goal is to inspire each child to become the best version of themselves while fostering a love of learning. I am committed to supporting students both academically and socially, and I will always do my best to help them succeed.

I have had the wonderful opportunity to provide support for students with different needs, teach Kindergarten for three years and I am excited to be teaching Second Grade.
I have a four year old son named Matteo. We enjoy playing at the park, our current favorite movies are Toy Story and Super Mario Brothers. He loves playing with Paw Patrol, Bluey, Dinosaurs, and PJ Mask.
