I'm Mrs. Gilbert and I'm from Charleston, South Carolina. I attended an all-girl boarding school in Chatham, Virginia, and later met my high school sweetheart, Greg, at a local venue. We have three beautiful daughters named Faith, Grace, and Madison Joy.
I graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Secondary Education from Clemson University. Afterward, I taught high school French for 8 years in Seneca, SC and Stone Mountain, GA. I then earned a Masters of Science in School Counseling and a Certificate in Play Therapy from Capella University. In addition to my passion for education, I am also a writer, and I love cooking new recipes, reading, and singing with my family.
I believe in meeting students where they are and preparing them for where they want to go. At SC Whitmore, I am able to do just that. I am grateful for the opportunity to help students become responsible, independent thinkers and productive citizens.
