We recognize that there may be times when a student is unable to participate fully in physical activity due to injury, illness, or other health-related concerns. Our goal is to support students in staying safe while still staying connected to learning.
A written note from a parent or guardian may excuse a student from up to three days of full participation.
Students with short-term limitations are still expected to dress out (unless the injury prevents it) and will be given modified or alternative assignments to remain engaged.
If a student needs to be excused for more than three days, a note from a licensed physician is required.
The note should clearly state the student’s restrictions and the length of time the limitation will apply.
During this time, students will receive alternative assignments or adapted activities to ensure they can continue to earn credit and stay connected to class.
We are committed to:
Prioritizing safety for all students
Collaborating with families and healthcare providers when longer limitations are needed
Providing alternative ways to learn and participate so that every student can be successful, even if their activity level is temporarily restricted
