I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Mexico and am bilingual, with a passion for learning new languages whenever possible.
I am excited to begin my third year with the San Carlos School District as a member of the TKELP team. In my free time, I enjoy painting and spending quality moments with my family.

I have over 17 years of experience working in educational settings, and this is my second year with the San Carlos School District and the TKELP Program. I find working with children to be incredibly rewarding, and I truly enjoy witnessing and being part of their growth. My goal is to foster a supportive and enriching environment that encourages each child to reach their full potential.
In my free time, I love going on walks and immersing myself in a good book. I also believe that continuous learning is essential, which is why I regularly engage in professional development to further enhance my skills.
My name is Mari, and I am excited to be joining the TKELP team at Arundel. I grew up locally and hope to continue teaching in the Bay Area in the future. I am passionate about early childhood education and plan to pursue my teaching credential to teach Kindergarten through 2nd grade.
I attended Sonoma State University, where I majored in Liberal Studies and minored in Early Childhood Studies. I am committed to supporting every student by helping them build strong foundational skills and grow as confident young learners. I look forward to getting to know your children and being part of their learning journey.
I’m Donovan, a musician and SCSD alumnus. I’ve been working with the San Carlos School District since 2022 as a Custodial Sub, and through my frequent interactions with students, I developed an interest in childcare. Outside of work, I greatly enjoy music and play in a few bands across the Bay Area. I’ve really enjoyed my time as a TKELP Aide and look forward to continuing to work with the kids!
Hi, my name is Hailey. I’m 19 and a student at the College of San Mateo, where I’m studying Communications. It’s really special for me to be back at Brittan Acres since I went here as a kid, and I’m so happy to be part of the Bruins community again.
I’ve always loved being around kids, and working with them is something I hope to do long-term. I’m really excited to get to know your children and spend this year learning and growing with them.
At Brittan Acres Elementary, TKELP offers a nurturing and structured after-school experience designed to support Transitional Kindergarten students as they transition from the school day. Each afternoon includes a balance of indoor activities, creative play, and outdoor exploration in familiar campus spaces. Outdoor play takes place on the Preschool playground and the TK patio, providing developmentally appropriate areas for movement, exploration, and social interaction. TK students are supported by trained TKELP staff who focus on safety, consistent routines, and positive transitions from the TK classroom into the program. Daily activities are thoughtfully planned to encourage social-emotional growth, independence, and a sense of belonging at the end of the day.
