Use Positive Affirmations

The way we think affects the way we feel. Our thoughts (i.e., "self-talk) can help us to stay in a good mood or it can help to pull us up when we're feeling upset, anxious, sad, etc. One of the tools that we can use to gain more control of our mood in this way is positive affirmations, sometimes called "mantras." These are short positive phrases that we regularly repeat to ourselves.
