Be Mindful of the Present Moment

"Mindfulness" is like being "in the zone." We tune our attention into what we're feeling, hearing, smelling, seeing, or tasting in the "right here, right now." One way to describe it is: "My mind is where my hands are."

We can also be mindful about thoughts and emotions. Instead of replaying the past or imagining the future, we tune into "right here, right now" and notice what we're thinking and feeling. We do this without judgement—without believing, for instance, that there’s a right or wrong way to think or feel in a given moment.
