SCOLA Technology Requirements
Computer device with a key board such as a Chromebook, laptop, or desktop.
SCS will provide a Chromebook for all students. If you have not received your SCS device please contact our SCOLA office.
School issued devices are required for all on-campus work.
For the purpose of online learning, a smartphone is not sufficient as a learning device.
A printer can be useful at times, but NOT required.
SCOLA students do need high-speed internet access.
Technology Support and Repairs
Your school issued device follows you through graduation. It is specifically assigned to each individual students.
There are fees attached to damaged devices, repairs, or if the device is lost/stolen. See individual charges for these incidents below.
SCS accident protection plan (insurance) is not required but encouraged. Form is listed below.

Devices must be dropped off and left at the front desk with a repair request ticket to be serviced. Repair request tickets are available at the front desk or here.
A detailed repair ticket must accompany all devices dropped off for repair.
Repairs are not immediate. Students may access their academic platform from any device that has internet while they are waiting.
SCOLA Staff will contact the parent/student when the device is ready for pick-up.
Lost or stolen SCS devices result in a $200 replacement fee.
No additional device will be issued until the replacement fee has been paid.
School issued devices must be returned to SCOLA if a student unenrolls from Scott County Schools.
