The Littlest Bigfoot: A Friendship Across Worlds
 by Iris Mizrahi
Alice is a lonely girl who has never quite fit in. Millie is an adventurous Yare, what humans would call a Bigfoot. Jeremy is a boy who has been obsessed with Bigfoots ever since he caught a glimpse of one in the woods. When their lives cross in unexpected ways, everything changes.
The story begins with Alice arriving at a boarding school, unsure of herself and doubtful she’ll make any friends. What she doesn’t know is that just across the lake lives Millie, a Yare who dreams of being part of the human world.
Millie has always been fascinated by humans and their way of life. She loves singing and spends her time watching the human reality talent show The Next Stage, imagining herself as a contestant someday. But Yares are secretive creatures who must stay hidden to survive. Unlike the others, Millie is curious, adventurous, and willing to take risks, but will those qualities lead her to success or put her in danger?
When Alice and Millie meet, they quickly form a strong bond. Despite the strict rules forbidding Yares from interacting with humans, Alice becomes Millie’s best friend.
Meanwhile, Jeremy has always felt overshadowed by his two brilliant older brothers. He’s a good student, but being “average” in a family of geniuses makes him feel invisible. The one thing that sets him apart is his obsession with Bigfoots, something his parents don’t take seriously. That changes when he meets Jo, a girl who shares his interest. For the first time, Jeremy has someone to talk to and theorize with.
But everything takes a turn when a mean girl named Jessica plays a prank that leads Jeremy to suspect Alice might be a Bigfoot, and he might not be wrong.
I loved this book. I already enjoy Bigfoot-related stories, but the strong theme of friendship made it even better. It’s a really sweet and engaging story, and I would recommend it to anyone.

Auggie's Journey to Belong
 by Lilah DeClara
Auggie is a totally normal kid on the inside, but his outside doesn’t seem to fit in with the others, and he wants nothing more than to belong.
Wonder by R. J. Palacio is a novel about a young boy named Auggie (August) who has a very rare and unique disability and is going to a real-life school for the first time. He wonders if he will ever fit in. Auggie has trouble making friends because people only see what’s on the outside when they look at him. Throughout the book, we see him develop as a person. Themes such as kindness, anti-bullying, empathy, and acceptance appear in the novel.
The story is told from multiple perspectives, including Auggie, his sister Via, and his classmates, offering a look at everyone’s opinions. The story goes back and retells parts of itself through different people. This novel is very important because of its messages. It shows acceptance and encourages readers to be kind, and it helps spread awareness for people with disabilities.
This novel is both interesting and moving in many different ways. The book has 4.4/5 stars because of its strong message and how much people connect with it. I think this book is amazing, and you should definitely read it!!
