Chapter 3: The Aftermath
A Foggy Night on June 30th
“Marsh we have to get Oat his dinner,” explained Swamp.
“Again? I just got him lunch, this is crazy," hesitated Marsh.
They soon went to the stream of the very river that brought them into this scenario, the Shark Slough. Fish flopped as the siblings grabbed them out of the water.
“You know Marsh, you may hate getting fish but you're pretty good at it. I’ve barely caught any.” Said Swamp glancing over at Marsh’s stack of fish.
“I guess you could say that…”
Oat soon walked over seeming a little gloomy as he began to speak.
“Alright you two, we should start heading south towards the beginning of the river” said Oat ready for the challenge.
Marsh and Swamp nodded in agreement and started making their way back home.
At the Pine Rocklands Border at Night
“Rain, this is a losing game. The heron is gaining on us and we will only waste our energy. We need a plan, quickly,” yelled Pine.
“You're right, we need something. Lets find a large area that's really dense with trees and branches. The heron can’t fly through there.”
Pine and Rain continued to run through bushes and rocks until they found an area with countless trees and now was their time. Pine cut through the large tree by jumping branch to branch. Rain went around the tree to meet Pine without the Heron following him, the heron would follow Pine as he is directly in front of him, and then when he was distracted the lizards ran and he fell to the ground in pain.
