This year, following our theme of Hope and Gratitude, we have produced two cross-school collaborative performances, one for students from K- 8 and one for High Schools. We had a total of 15 schools participate in these amazing cross-collaborative performances. Students from Fiorello H. LaGuardia H.S. of Music & Art and Performing Arts, Professional Performing Arts School, Special Music School, Stuyvesant High School, and The Wadleigh Secondary School for the Performing & Visual Arts, joined together remotely for an incredible performance of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah, a song chosen in recognition of having all arrived at this point. Separately, we also have 8 schools who applied to have their schools’ dance, theater and musical performances included in this year’s festival. They are curated in the order of a live show so please enjoy them as such!
Finally, let us heed these wise words from the beautiful song, Give Us Hope, that our K- 8 combined chorus sings: "Give us hope, my voice is calling. Give us hope and we will show you the way."
