The Continuous Learning team in the NYC Department of Education supports a network of schools in strengthening core instruction for low-income Black and/or Latinx multilingual learners and deepening teachers’ knowledge of students by using student-level data to drive instructional decision-making. We build capacity in NYCDOE staff to achieve the overall NYCDOE vision by supporting a strong foundation of teacher-led continuous improvement work. Our network promotes the NYC DOE’s vision and pillars through the pedagogical changes schools pilot through PDSA (Plan-Do-Study-Act) cycles and ultimately implement at scale.
