Also - feel free to explore the rest of the library website so you know what ebooks, audiobooks and other educational resources are available to you and your student. The link above takes you to an informational page for parents of NYC public school students.
Parents can set up a DOE account to track their child's education. Once signed up you will begin receiving notifications from the DOE.

OpenEbooks is free to our school community.
Open Ebooks is an app that gives you access to hundreds of ebooks. You can check out 10 titles at a time. The books are multi-user, so you always have access to the titles you want. You can get a code and pin for the High School Collection or All Access, which has k-12 ebooks.

To get free access you must go through the NYPL website and not directly to lynda.com. Just click on the lynda icon above. Click on "Connect to Database" and enter your NYPL card barcode number and pin.
If you don't have a library card, you can click on "Get a Library Card" at the top of the NYPL page to get a card online.

Parent University seeks to educate and empower all families from early childhood through adulthood, with free courses, resources, events, and activities. Parents can register for free trainings on a wide range of topics, including adult education, student social-emotional learning, and special education.
