Here at School 21, we are delighted to meet your child and to welcome your whole family into our community! On this page over the coming weeks, there will be videos and activities for your child to look at before they start school to prepare them for the start of their journey here at School 21.
In this video, our headteacher Mrs Drummond, and EYFS Lead Ms Ingram provide some information about what school will be like for your child when they join Reception.

Here is the copy of the Welcome booklet that was sent home in May. Please feel free to make additional copies to use at home in preparation for September.
Your child can enjoy listening to some stories told by their new teachers!
Mrs Watts reads "Triangle"
Mrs Silver reads "The Love Monster"
Ms Ingram reads 'Little Tiger's Big Holiday'
Ms James reads "The Lonely Beast"
Mrs Shreeram reads "Stuck on the moon"
Ms Kosierkevicz reads "We're going on a bear hunt"
We know that all children are unique, and develop at different speeds. We don't expect your child to start school already knowing how to read, write, add or subtract! But what we do hope is that children have some basic independent skills before they start school, so that they are happy and confident to explore the setting, to make friends and to become learners.
Here are some ideas for things to work on over the Summer break.

We will be using Seesaw to record moments along your child's learning journey and for you to share the learning that they do at home with you too. Please have a look at this video explaining how Seesaw works. More support will be given in September.
