School Psychology Overview
School psychologists are uniquely qualified members of school teams that support students' ability to learn and teachers' ability to teach. They apply expertise in mental health, learning, and behavior, to help children and youth succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally. School psychologists partner with families, teachers, school administrators, and other professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments that strengthen connections between home, school, and the community. Child Development Days
Screening all young children ages 3-5 years before entering school helps to ensure every child is getting the support he or she needs to be ready for learning. St. Croix Falls School District Child Development Days will be held every year in the winter. Specific information will be advertised in the community and through school district resources.
The screening will provide you and the St. Croix Falls School District with important information and identify children who may benefit from school district and/or community resources.
Child Find
St. Croix Falls School District has a comprehensive screening program to locate and screen all children with suspected disabilities who are residents of the district, including children attending private schools, home schools or enrolled under open enrollment and who have not graduated from high school.
