Dear students,
Don't forget the deadline to turn in your talent show acts is May 14th.
Also, did you turn in your spaghetti/marshmallow math challenge? Those are due May 11th. I can't wait to send out the final google slide show to everyone!
We are starting to wind down the year, but don't give up yet. Work hard this week to get everything done on the day it is given. Stay on top of your work! I will NOT be sending out anymore reminders for late work. Please check Progressbook for anything you think you are missing!

Religion - Today you will read ch. 21 that talks about how precious life is. After reading pages 175-178, watch this video of Mother Teresa to see how she showed others that every life is a treasure. ALSO..DON'T FORGET TO GET YOUR SERVICE TURNED IN if you haven't yet!!!!!
Math - Today we will talk about quadrilaterals. Log into Go Math and complete the lesson 11.3 in the library with the Go Math Lizard. Now click on Things To Do and find Homework 11.3. Don't forget to Turn It In!
Reading - Where the Red Fern Grows....Read chapter 12 and 13 today. I know it is longer, but trust me, you won't believe what happens in chapter 13. Enjoy chapters 12 and 13 today. If we finish the book by Friday, then you can use this novel toward your AR goal. I am extending the AR due date to Friday the 15th.
Language Arts - Go to Boom Task Card site and do Voc3 and Voc2 review if you are in my reading class. You have all 30 vocabulary words total to know for the final test. If you are in Read180, still go to the Boom Task Card site, but do the deck called "Sentence test".
Spelling - Study list 29 spelling words (I emailed you the list of words.)....I am trusting that you can practice these on your own today however you want. Remember though that the test is Friday, and it will be your last spelling test this year!

Religion - May is the month we should think of Mary our Mother. It is also the month to remember and pray the rosary. In your books, go to pages 240-241-242 and read them. Today I would like you to pray the rosary. You will see on page 242 that since it is Tuesday, you will pray the sorrowful mysteries. If you need help praying the rosary, use this video.

Math - Today you will focus on 3-dimensional figures. Log into Go Math and complete the lesson 11.4 in the library with the Go Math Lizard. Now click on Things To Do and find Homework 11.4. Don't forget to Turn It In!

I am extending the AR due date to Friday the 15th. Look over 30 vocabulary words for the final test coming up next week.

Religion - Today is a feast day, Our Lady of Fatima. Jesus gave us his mother to be our mother. Read pages 231-232, and then watch this video.
Math - Today you will learn about volume. Log into Go Math and complete the lesson 11.5 in the library with the Go Math Lizard. Now click on Things To Do and find Homework 11.5. Don't forget to Turn It In!
Reading - Where the Red Fern Grows....Read chapter 16 and 17 and 18 today. I know it is longer, but trust me, you won't want to stop reading. Remember, you can use this novel toward your AR goal. Language Arts - Today we will learn more about prepositions and prepositional phrases. 1. Watch School House Rock Prepositions first. 2. Hop over to google classroom to do a worksheet over your spelling words this week. "List 29 definitions"
Spelling - Study your list 29 words today with a partner at home. You can take turns writing on each other's backs with your finger, and they have to guess the word you wrote. I call this "back writing". Be sure you are ready for Friday's test!

Religion - Another feast day you should be familiar with that comes up in May is Pentecost. Pentecost is celebrated 50 days after Easter. It is the last day of the Easter season in which we celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit. Pentecost is very important because it is the birthday of the church. Read pages 229-230 in your books. Now watch this video.
Math - Today you will do more volume work. Log into Go Math and complete the lesson 11.6 in the library with the Go Math Lizard. Now click on Things To Do and find Homework 11.6. Don't forget to Turn It In!
Reading - Where the Red Fern Grows....Read chapter 19 and 20 today, and you will finish it. What a novel! You will love it! Remember, you can use this novel toward your AR goal. I am extending the AR due date to Friday the 15th. You can take the AR quiz today or tomorrow! BUT...you must take it tomorrow at the latest.
Language Arts - We will continue with prepositional phrases today and focus on the object of the preposition. Watch this video Now hop on over to Google Classroom and take the "Prepositional Phrase quiz"

AR GOALS ARE DUE TODAY!!!!!! YOU MAY TAKE QUIZZES YET TODAY!!!!!
Religion - Today we will review the "Catholic Social Teachings". Remember the booklets we made at school? (Which are still at school...) I want you to read pages 253 - 254 to refresh your memory. We did NOT get to the last 2. After reading this, watch the video on Catholic Social Teachings.
Math - Today you will learn the volume formula and apply it. V = L x W x H Log into Go Math and complete the lesson 11.9 in the library with the Go Math Lizard. Now click on Things To Do and find Homework 11.9. Don't forget to Turn It In! (YES....I skipped lessons 11.7 and 11.8)
Reading - Where the Red Fern Grows....Remember to take the AR quiz for this novel if you didn't yesterday. Today is the last day to take it because your AR goal is due today!!!!! PLUS I am taking it for a reading test grade!
Language Arts - Today you will do Exact Path for 20-30 minutes. Remember I can track how long you are doing this. This is a completion grade, so please do your best! Set your timer as you challenge yourself today!
Spelling - Hop on over to Google Classroom and take "List 29 spelling test" today.
