Ribonucleic acid, (RNA) is a nucleic acid present in all living cells that contains information that has been copied from the DNA. RNA plays a key role in turning the instructions held in the DNA of your genome into functional proteins in your cells.
Unlike DNA:
it's single stranded
has the nitrogen base Uracil instead of Thymine
has ribose sugar instead of deoxyribose
