a) Objectives
To compete to a highly competitive level in Division III of the Singapore Cricket Association (SCA) League.
To field the best available XI each week in pursuit of peak performance.
To build and work within a clear structure, in regards to how each phase of a game will be played and what profile of player is therefore required for each position.
To register a top half positioning in the SCA Division III League.
b) Criteria
Performance: Performance across the last 3 games at that level or higher in a specific role/position.
Team Balance: This is a vital element in the success/consistency of any team and will be a major factor in selection.
Attitude & Work Ethic: The attitude presented towards the club, teammates, opposition and officials is paramount when it comes to selection in an SCC squad. Jaguars players should train in a positive, role specific and helpful way to those down the pathway.
Training: On occasions where two players are competing for the same position and when the decision is split across the selection committee, the player who has trained most regularly will be looked upon favourably.
Communication: Good communication is vital in any successful team. A player who has not communicated their availability to the Captain of Cricket will be assumed unavailable.
Junior Development: JSM members are unlikely to be selected in this particular squad, unless required.
Behaviour: All players must adhere to the SCA Code of Conduct when representing the club on-field. Additionally, all players must adhere to the clearly communicated expectations of the SCC Cricket section at all times. Being in the appropriate training/match attire at all times is a must and players bringing the club, the section or the game of cricket into disrepute will be dealt with accordingly.
AOB: Registered Panthers will not be considered for selection in this particular squad, unless required.
