Tim McMahon, our esteemed Head Coach for Cricket at the Singapore Cricket Club, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our cricket programs. With a Cricket Australia Level 3 Coach certification and over two decades of coaching background, Tim plays a pivotal role in the development of our players. He currently holds a full-time position within the Cricket Section & Academy, emphasising his dedication to the growth of the sport.
Tim's coaching journey includes serving as the Head Coach of the Northern District Cricket Club in the Sydney Premier Competition and leading the New South Wales (NSW) U15 Pathways program. Additionally, he has contributed to the coaching staff of the Sydney Thunder as an Assistant Coach. Notably, Tim previously held the position of Head Coach for the Singapore Cricket Club during the 2019-2020 period.
His own cricketing journey has seen him playing over 15 years of Sydney 1st Grade cricket, alongside representing the NSW 2nd XI. Tim's passion for the game is evident in his commitment to nurturing the talent within our esteemed cricket club.
In his current role as Head Coach, Tim takes charge of overseeing and managing the coaching aspects of the Cricket Section & Academy. He collaborates closely with the SCC Cricket Academy's coaches, contributing to the program's remarkable growth from 90 children to nearly 250 since April 2019. Tim's collaboration extends to working alongside the Academy Director, David Bennett, and the Head of Pathways, Anish Paraam, as well as engaging with the Lions team.
Tim's enthusiasm to channel the talent within one of the world's finest Cricket Clubs is palpable. His leadership and mentorship are integral to shaping our cricketers' development journey and upholding the club's exceptional standards.
