David Bennett, known to everyone as Benno, is the driving force behind the SCC Cricket Academy. As Founder and Director of The Cricket Academy Limited, he oversees every aspect of the academy’s operations, from player development and coaching pathways to international tours and strategic partnerships.

Cricket has been a lifelong passion for Benno. Having played since the age of eight, he has represented teams across the UK, Europe, India, Qatar, and Singapore. Today, he continues to enjoy his cricket at the Singapore Cricket Club, where he also leads the academy’s growth and innovation.

Benno brings with him over 20 years of experience in leadership and operations, including a distinguished military career and senior roles in both the corporate and government sectors. This diverse background has shaped his reputation for discipline, adaptability, and results, qualities that are central to the academy’s success.

Under his leadership, the SCC Cricket Academy has expanded rapidly, offering structured pathways from grassroots to elite level, running international tours, and hosting high-profile cricketing events. Benno’s vision is clear: to create one of Asia’s premier cricket academies, blending tradition with modern coaching, technology, and global opportunities for young players.
