Introduction to Junior Squads
Welcome to the SCC Cricket Academy! Our selection policy for U9 (Softball), U10 (Softball), U11, U12, U13 (Friendlies only) & U14 cricket squads is designed to foster a fair, transparent, and nurturing environment. Here's an overview of our squads based on age groups:
Under 9s: Eligible for children turning 9 or younger within the current calendar year.
Under 11s: Eligible for children turning 11 or younger within the current calendar year.
Under 13s: Eligible for children turning 13 or younger within the current calendar year.
Objectives of Junior Cricket Matches
Our junior cricket matches aim to:
Provide an enjoyable and developmental setting for young cricketers.
Introduce all children to competitive cricket, regardless of ability.
Develop leadership through rotating roles.

Selection Criteria Overview
Selection for junior matches is based on:
Academy Attendance: Priority given to current term attendees.
Age Appropriateness: Suitable for specific squad age requirements.
Communication: Responsiveness to calls for availability.
Behaviour and Conduct: Adherence to club standards.
Performance: Considered primarily for finals and trophy matches.

Grievance Resolution
Should concerns arise, the following steps ensure fair resolution:

Improvement: Assessment of the situation for learning and policy refinement.
