Physical Geography or Geo Hazards is a new semester-long science class taught by Mr. Calvi. The class not only discusses the natural formations of the Earth, but also how they interact with human civilization. For example, floods are a naturally-occurring phenomena that aren't inherently harmful, but if there's an urban area near by then it can have devastating consequences for humans. Another example would be the discrimination against Hispanic firefighters, or the sexism against female firefighters who control wildfires on the West coast. The class includes an assorted of lab experiments, lectures, quizzes, research, and movies.
