Visual Art

Students with a VISUAL ARTS emphasis in the VAPA ACADEMY will take courses in two and three-dimensional art making, where they will create original artworks using a variety of media with the Elements and Principles of Art in mind. They will develop critical thinking skills as they investigate, design, write about, and evaluate their work and the work of others.

Careers in the Visual Arts:

  • Illustrator - Books, Video Games, Medical and Science, Web and Print

  • Sculptor- Movie Industry Props/Sets, Fine Arts,

  • Architect- Building Design, Interior Spaces, Landscape Design

  • Art Educator- Teaching, Community Art Coordinator

  • Graphic Designer

  • Animator


Two-Dimensional Program

Students will investigate and engage with a diverse assortment of art mediums while testing concepts and real world applications in the studio.

Three-Dimensional Program

Students have opportunities to develop and refine their skills using a variety of sculptural media while exploring traditional and non-traditional themes.
