Transition Specialists meet with students at key momentum points during their adult education journey: when they first walk through one of our doors, when they complete a certain program or program component, or at program exit.
Depending on where students are at, Transition Specialists work with students on one or more of the following:
Goal setting: discussion of students' educational, employment or community goals.
Career exploration: exploring various career interests, potential earnings, or desired skills and knowledge
Barrier identification: identifying what might prevent students from being successful in their educational journey, with a goal to provide resource referrals
Referrals are completed in My Professional Journey, formerly Community Pro Suite, SBCAE's case management tool.
