We tried to address the following questions during the three years of the grant:

• What is culturally and linguistically responsive teaching? What is contained in the NYSED framework and how can we use it?

• How can we bring together three districts to help students and adults learn about each other?

• What programs, lessons, and activities can we offer to help our school communities understand and respect themselves and others?

During the 3-year journey to embed CLR practices in our respective school districts, we focused on:

Year 1 - Ensuring there was a common understanding of culturally responsive teaching and bringing teachers together to develop ideas

Year 2 - Teachers begin to plan and receive PD together, students begin to Skype;

Year 3 - Assistive technologies show up in main offices; unity circle meetings collaborations between districts
