各種テストサポート

AP（Advanced Placement ）の略で、カレッジボードが高校生のために作った大学の単位が取得できる試験です。学年末の5月にAPテストを受験します。基本的に毎週１時間、AP Japanese受験予定者に向けた対策用授業を行います。特にテキストチャットや会話、比較・対比の文章練習は本番のテストに即してコンピュータを使って練習を重ねます。多くの生徒がこのテストで優秀な成績を収めてます。なお、本校では受験場所の案内はできませんので、生徒一人一人が現地校カウンセラーと相談して受験場所を探す必要があります。

This is an examination offered by The College Board to replace university credit. This exam is conducted at the end of May each year. JIS provides written and oral support in preparation for this test, and most JIS graduates obtain excellent grades. Please contact your school's guidance counselor for testing locations as JIS is not an exam site.

毎年カレッジボードが主催する全米共通の試験です。日本語の科目別テストは毎年11月　に実施されます。高等部では授業の中でこのテストに向けた対策の時間を持ち、準備します。

This is offered by The College Board. It is conducted annually in November, and our high school classes incorporate preparation sessions.

外国語として日本語を学習する生徒たちを対象としたテストです。ロサンゼルスでは毎年12月に試験が行われます。日本の大学を希望する生徒の中にはこのテストが必須となる場合もあります。授業の中でこのテストの練習問題を取り入れています。

This is a test to measure proficiency in Japanese as a foreign language. California State University Los Angeles normally offers this test every December. A certificate of this test may be required when applying to some Japanese universities or programs. JIS classes incorporate practice questions from these tests.

漢字検定の準会場として最低一年に一度（受験生が10名以上集まった場合）、日本から送られてくるテストを受験し審査されます。相当クラスではそれに向けた準備も行います。当校では準2級までの試験が実施できますので、父兄も合わせて受験していただくことも可能です。

JIS offers this test once a year, up to Grade Pre-2, if there are more than ten applicants. The test will be sent from Japan. Test preparation is offered in some classes, and parents and community members are welcome to take this test as well.
