心から寄付金

「私はただJISを助けたかっただけです」と、JISの現役学生、安井直美さん（14）は今年の誕生日を思い出しながら語りました。直美さんは誕生日に、プレゼントの代わりにJISの学校改修のための寄付金を募りたいという特別なお願いをしました。そして家族や友人から寄付を集め、なんとか 1,000 ドルを集めました。 「私の人生に、この学校と素晴らしい先生達がいることにとても感謝しています。私も今まで沢山の人に支えられてきたので、この寄付は学校を助けるために絶対に必要だと思いました。」(直美）

私たちはナオミさんの寛大なご厚意に深く感謝し、後世まで残る学校の石碑に誇りを持って彼女の名前を刻みたいと思います。

“I just wanted to help JIS,” said 14-year-old Naomi Yasui, a current student at JIS, as she recalled this year’s birthday celebration. For her birthday, Naomi made an unusual request: instead of gifts, she asked for donation money for the JIS school renovations. Saving money from family and friends, Naomi managed to raise $1,000 for a cause she felt important. “I am so grateful to have this school and its wonderful teachers in my life. You and many others have helped me so much, so this donation seemed like a must.” 

 We are extremely grateful for Naomi’s generosity, and we will proudly put her name on the school stone that will remain for years to come.
