Dance
SanArts Dance offers a pathway of dance classes from beginning, intermediate, advanced, dance production, and a composition choreography course. Our dancers learn all genres of dance, history, vocabulary and terminology, choreography, fitness, health & wellness, and dance in a live dance concert. Our classes are standards-based and are in alignment with the framework of the art. Students receive PE as well as fine arts credit.
Ballet Folklorico
Ballet Folklorico is a CTE dance course within SanArts. The program focuses on the traditional music of Mexico dance styles of Bolero, Chotis, Corrido, Cumbia, Huapango, Jarabe, Joropo, Polka, Ranchera, San Jaliscience, and Vals from the 15th to the 21st century. The class will also study each dance's history and the influence these dance styles have on modern dance.
