Ethnic studies is an interdisciplinary field that examines the culture, history, and experiences of different racial and ethnic groups in the United States. It particularly focuses on people of color and other historically marginalized groups. Within ethnic studies, scholars analyze power structures and explore how culture intersects with gender, sexuality, and class. The field aims to recognize the powerful influence of race and culture on human behavior, providing valuable insights for navigating our multicultural society.
