This class provides a series of activities that will assist the student in obtaining necessary knowledge, attitudes and skills concerning their physical, intellectual, social, and emotional fitness throughout life.
Competitive Level - Competitive games is structured for higher skilled and motivated individuals who enjoy high intensity activities.
Both classes will consist of 8-10 conditioning days and 4-5 game units. Game units may include: speedball, lacrosse, flag football, hockey, team handball, and basketball. Classes will also include a weekly workout throughout the trimester.

Personal fitness is a class focused on individual workouts designed to help students understand how exercise can be used to lose or maintain healthy body fat content and tone muscle. Students will learn for total health and well being while creating a program that enables them to understand the benefits of exercising the way they are designed. Individual workouts will include but are not limited to Pilates, Ballates, basic Vinyasa Yoga, Power Yoga, Piyo, fitness walking, walk/jog track workouts, weight training circuits, total body and core workouts, T25/P90X, fitness dance workouts.

This course will include individual and team activities, along with fitness training students can use the rest of their adult life. The goal is to help students identify activities they can participate in throughout their adult lives to maintain a healthy fitness level. Students will participate in an individual workout 2 days a week and participate in recreational based activities the other 3 days. Recreational based activities - Tennis, badminton, softball, volleyball, frisbee golf, archery, bowling, pickleball, and eclipse ball.

Units include hiking, climbing and camping skills, fishing techniques, orienteering skills, archery, mountain biking, curling, kayaking and much more... This course trains individuals in lifesaving skills and the knowledge needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies. Students will become certified in First Aid, CPR, and AED. This course provides the necessary training to become a certified professional lifeguard through the American Red Cross. Students must demonstrate a minimum-level of swimming proficiency through successful completion of the American Red Cross swimming pre-test prior to being allowed to take this course. Students need to be 15 ½ by the end of the course. Course fee: $35 (non-refundable).

This course trains students to teach swimming lessons to people of all ages and abilities. Students will learn to break swimming skills into drills with progressions. Class management, water safety, technique analysis, and lesson/unit development are practiced in student teaching sessions. Students will also work to improve their own swimming technique in all the strokes in the American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim program. Students must demonstrate a level of swimming proficiency equal to the American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim Level 4 Stroke Performance in the Front Crawl, Back Crawl, Breaststroke, Elementary Backstroke, Sidestroke, and Butterfly prior to being allowed to take this course. This course is designed to provide students with knowledge to improve or maintain health and wellness throughout their lifespan. Emphasis will be placed on the seven dimensions of wellness and how the information relates to the individual, community, and school. In addition, the student will explore and identify the social and interpersonal factors of health that contribute to the development of individual value systems, goals, and health -related decisions. This is a project based class in which students will learn how to assess their wellness, make a plan, implement the plan and advocate for others to do the same.
