My Student Role
MY ROLE AS THE STUDENT IN THE EXHIBITION
This is what I need to do during this year’s Exhibition:
Know the purpose of the Exhibition
Individually select a real-life issue to inquiry into the Exhibition
Develop a central idea and lines of inquiry
Create deep, ‘burning’ questions to drive my inquiry
Use a variety of primary (e.g.: first-hand experiences interviews, surveys, field trips) and secondary (e.g.: books, websites, video, newspapers) resources to support my inquiry
Make reference to any sources I use during my inquiry
Collaborate effectively and regularly with my class, teachers, coaches (mentors), other students, and my parents
Keep a regularly updated record of my Exhibition process by keeping a journal (physical or digital) that includes reflection, photos, workpieces, and sketches
Show examples of written work
Conduct presentations, individually or in a group, to the school community and a wider audience
Use technology in a variety of ways
Perform and compose in any art form (dance, music, drama, visual arts, film, or mixed media)
Take (or plan to take) personal action with new understandings I gained from my inquiry
Participate in self and peer assessment
Celebrate my learning by presenting my Exhibition process and findings to the school community and a wider audience.
