Implementation Overview

2024-2025

In Year 1 of the Community Schools initiative at Walker, we launched our Needs & Assets Survey to all stakeholders across campus. We worked together as a team to complete a Data Deep Dive and uncovered our site's priorities: Academic Success, Enrichment, and Engagement.

2025-2026

In Year 2 of the Community Schools initiative at Walker, we used our site's priorities as a driving force for change across campus. We listened to what our stakeholders wanted to see and acted through PDSA Cycles within our Eagle Endeavors Working Group, which was made up of staff and Walker parents. A few of our grade-level teams even tried on PBL and CBL.

2026-2027

In Year 3 of the Community Schools initiative at Walker, we are continuing to utilize our campus priorities to expand opportunities for our students and to create sustainable change. We are now aligning our working group structure with the Leader in Me. We are also working to ensure that every classroom on campus is implementing PBL and CBL experiences.
