Year 3 Overview

What will we be focusing on throughout year 3?

Throughout the 2026-2027 school year, our committees will be refining our Year 2 initiatives and continuing to address the pressing needs of our school community. We will let data drive us to make changes across campus that are sustainable and actively target our campus priorities of academic success, engagement, and enrichment. Our Leader in Me working group teams, made up of staff, parents, and students, will work through PDSA cycles, and our classroom teachers will continue to implement PBL and CBL.

Walker is a Leader in Me campus, and we have integrated our Leader in Me committees into our Community Schools initiative. Our committees serve as three arms of Community Schools: Culture, Academics, and Leadership.

This shift is also coupled with our 5th grade Lighthouse Team members now being a part of the culture committee meetings each month!
