NGSS - FOSS Transitions Guides

These units are meant to support the transition to NGSS in San Diego Unified. You may feel like these units look very short - the decreased content coverage in elementary allows you time to support your students in exploring and building their own science knowledge. These materials are in draft form and are still being revised. These resources have not been fully vetted or completed.

*SDUSD does not have full FOSS NGSS Transition Guides for Earth Science in 3rd and 4th grade. Below are links to an out-of-district resource that can provide you with ideas for lesson planning. We can not provide the Galt kits, but FOSS materials can often be used to support this curriculum.

FOSS Science kits for all rotations are issued upon request. Kinder Trees kits and all Life rotation kits stay onsite. Life rotation consumable replenishment kits and live material prepaid coupons are issued upon request.
