Professional Assault Crisis Training
Designed to minimize the risks associated with emergency response to assaultive behavior. Pro-ACT principles focus on maintaining the safety and dignity of the student, while keeping staff safe. Ultimately helping students learn alternative methods for meeting their needs and developing internal self-control.
Learn and recognize skills to avoid or reduce the need for restraint.
Full 20-Hour Certification Course – Must arrange to attend full 20 hours for certification (2.5 days)
Each AFIRM module focuses on an Evidence-Based Practices (EBP) for learners with ASD and includes:
Engaging case examples that demonstrate the behavior or practice in use
multimedia presentation of content with audio and video clips
interactive assessments that provide you with feedback based on your responses
For each AFIRM module, you can earn a professional development certificate by completing module requirements (i.e. Pre-assessment, Post-assessment, and Module Evaluation).
Use AFIRM certificates for professional development credits and licensure requirements.
