We are the team of Lead Paraeducator Independence Facilitators. It is our intent to share our knowledge and skills with our fellow PIFs to better serve all students in our district.
Kim Bradley
Kim has been an employee with SDUSD for over 19 years. Kim first started as a Special Education Assistant and has also held the position of Special Education Technician and now Lead Paraeducator Independence Facilitator. She has had wonderful mentors throughout her career and the opportunity to gain experience and skills by working in many different special education settings such as PHI, MPC, Mod/Severe, and Mild/Moderate. She has learned to work alongside fellow educators, to collaborate with teachers, understanding and implementing student academic and social emotional goals. Kim loves kids and is very passionate about her job and wants to share her knowledge and provide support to fellow paraeducators in SDUSD.
Rosa Leon
Rosa has been a paraeducator with SDUSD for 25 years. Throughout the years she has worked at various sites as a CDCA in Early Childhood, an SEA, and a PIF in Mod/Severe and Mild/Mod classrooms. Being at various school sites allowed Rosa to learn from amazing teachers, administrators, support staff, and students. Rosa believes paraeducators are an essential part of the students’ academic, emotional, and physical growth. She is excited to be a Lead PIF and hopes to help her colleagues grow and learn by providing the support and mentorship they deserve. When she is not at work, Rosa enjoys spending quality time with her wife, children, friends, and most of all her two grandchildren.
Debbie Stearmer
Debbie has worked for SDUSD for over 28 years. She has worked in special education for close to 20 years. She was fortunate to work alongside amazing teachers that helped her learn the skills to work with our students with disabilities. She has worked most of her career in the mod/severe setting but has had experience working in mild/mod also. She feels it is important to empower paraeducators that they are an integral part of the classroom setting and our students’ academic world. She loves her job working with children and is looking forward to sharing her experience and knowledge with her colleagues.
