Suspension bridges can carry a large load, but also can span larger distances. They are often used over waterways where boats can travel underneath. They have large towers and cables that are anchored into the ground.
Best Use: To go across large distances, especially over water. Tall enough for boats to go underneath.
The good: Strong and can span large distances, up to 7,000 feet long. Attractive. Can go across water.
The bad: Expensive, take a long time to build, requires a lot of materials.
