In September we hosted a United for Literacy Backpack Giveaway event.
Through our partnership with DEEP we were connected with Untied Way of San Diego County who chose our school to be a recipient of 50 backpacks donated by Burns & McDonnell Construction Firm (complete with school supplies and handwritten cards for each student). Students also received free Halloween costumes from Disguise. The joy in the room was undeniable.
