DELAC is made up of representatives from each school's English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC), a school-based committee required if there are more than 21 English Learners at that school. Lexia English - for NEWCOMERS
Lexia English for newcomer English Learners, to access a computer program called Lexia English. Students will be bring home a letter explaining how to access the computer program at home. We will get them started at school but these students are expected to complete 20 minutes a day on the program at home.

Newcomers – Families who are new to our country with less than three years enrolled at SDUSD The San Diego Unified School District's Newcomer Welcome Center is a place where newcomer students and their families can learn about the district's resources, programs, and opportunities, while sharing their unique backgrounds, cultures, and aspirations.
