Final Project Proposal
Project Ideation
1- Tell us about the purpose of your project. Which problem does it solve? Why do you care about this? What were you inspired by? Include images and videos of similar projects
led strip
My project is a night reading box. What does this mean? It is a box with led strip with different illumination for the helper to read at night, in addition to a LCD that allow choosing the reading period, after which an alarm alerts me to the end of the specified time.

In this website, the user turn a book into a light box which turning on with opening and turning of with closing the book.

2- Describe the project idea and general features. How would it work?
The project is a help for night's reading. It will have led strip with potentiometer for different Intensity of illumination. And the LCD to displayspecified time for reading, which will be selected by a push button that will be designed, in addition to an alarm sound that applies after the specified time for reading expires and we I will use regular adaptor for power in with on/off switch.
In the beginning, the user will switch on thw device, choose the appropriate lighting with the potentiometer and the time to be read with some clicks on push buton, and then after the time expires, an alarm will sound from the buzzer used and light will turn off.
3- Sketch your project: You may use pen and paper or a simple sketching tool like Microsoft Paint or Photoshop
when the user pushes the button, the led is turned on. when the ldr sensor senses that the light is low the led intensity goes higher, then when the potentiometer controls the led the LDR sensor light can be higher. In complete features:we will use RTC sensor to count down the time input and buzzer as an alarm.

4- Describe the Technical Modules that your project consists of
Construction Parts
Base unit:
laser cutted box consists of 5 faces of wood sheet and one face will be light defuser ( klk paper/ acrylic) 20*15*5 cm
on one side we will have holes for ( electricity blug, on/off switch, LCD and potentiometer nop)
defuser unit: (klk paper/ acrylic) will be used to defuse light from led strip 20*15 cm

5- Create a cardboard prototype of your project, demonstrating the project face as well as internal movements and mechanisms. Include a demo video and photos of the prototype.
6- Categorize your project’s User Features into: Minimum, Complete, and Nice-to-have features. List the required action and input components per feature.
Minimum Features: are the least amount of features that would demonstrate the coverage of all the technical modules and their complete integration
Complete Features: are the set of features that will complete your original project objective and vision
Nice-to-have Features: are the extra set of features that will make the project cooler, yet they need extra time, effort, and/or resources to finish
Minimum User Features
Appropriate light intensity
Action: measuring the intensity of the illumination
Sensing: potentiometer
User Input: manual mode: potentiometer
automatic mode: no user input
Complete User Features
Sound alarm ( after spending chosing time)
Action: buzzer
Sensing: RTC sensor
User Input: push button
Nice-to-have User Features
