For week 1 we were asked to come up with already made open source designs to get familiar with the fabrication tools including 3D printing and laser cutter and how to actually prepare the files to transfer them to these machines.
I was actually pretty excited for this week assignment because this is my first time using this fabrication methods

This is my model for the laser-cutter , I choose this one because I love The Smurfs how there are cute and funny and I see a lot of dietals on this design I can make further I learn it on it .
This is my choosen model for the 3D-Printer , I choose this model because I am obssesed with owl just Imagine having such a beautiful mini owl on your desk that's pretty awesome to me.

First of all let me take through our design process and since this week we weren't required to make the design ourself I downloaded one from an opensource library

Let me take you through my prerartion process
I used leaser work software to cutting design in the first I downloaded from the site and rescaled then select the outline to be cutter with black color then I chose the area I want it to be draw cut line and selected with blue color then I select area with red color. I was changing speed and power for black I was using speed 30 power 50 to cut the edge.for blue color i was using speed 300power 20 for draw line .for red color to scan it I was using speed300 power 25.
Here I was preparing my file I was resizing the module from scale tool with mark on uniform scaling to keep the proportions I chose the printer (prusaI3 Mk2) I did some adjustment from the draft bar I adjusted the quality to 0.2 .i did not support it as it was not necessary finally I did a last cheek on preview to see how much time it will take and it is weight.
My used parameters for the printer :
Material: 1 gm
Time: 14min
Layer height : 0.2 mm
Infill 15%

Here is a photo of our process, here the laser cutter was doing its job and just tracing the outer line of my shape with the laser beam to cut it

Here when I cut it there is the part I didn't realize takes a cut line, not engraver but I fixed it

I was so happy when I see it real not only digital
here also I was super happy this was the first time i used 3dprinting
Check every line before sending the file to laser cutting also make a simulation before doing any thing
