In hot days, the first thing i need next to me is a desk fan to reduce the around temperature.
I want to make a small prototype of the object to know how it works .
Google: To search for whatever i need to know to complete the assignment.
Tinkercad: The main tool in this assignment, As i made the electrical circuit in it to make sure from the idea and from its validity
Circuit design software
OUR LOYAL FRIEND
Cardboard: for the device enclosure.
Cutter: to cut the cardboard to make the wanted prototype parts
Hot glue gun : to assemble the parts together and get out with the device enclosure
Breadboard:
5 Volt Adapter:
Variable resistance :
on/off switch :
5 volt DC Fan :
wires:
LED
The action components that you used:
DC Fan
LED
Variable Resistance
Voltage source
5 Volt adapter : to provide the voltage for DC Fan and the LED
First of all I have to draw the electrical circuit to know the connections and the require voltage and current to operate each element in the circuit.
The type of the circuit is parallel connection for the lamp and the DC fan and series with the on\off switch.
This to make each branch get the 5 V from the adapter and get the needed power to work and also can be operated independently.
This step was vary helpful to make me able to imagine how the enclosure design will be.
Here i use the DC Motor instead of the DC Fan , because Tinkercad doesn't have the DC Fan
Circuit simulation in TinkerCAD (Switch is off)
While the switch is on and the resistance value is low
While the switch is on and the resistance value is High
Circuit simulation in TinkerCAD to show the functionality of the project
you can see how the variable resistance control the sound out from the DC Motor (in the real it will appear in the the speed of the DC fan)
1-While the resistance value is High
2-While the resistance value is LOW
1-In pic 1 we can find that due to the high value of the resistance the fan get low voltage (0 from 5 )V
2-In pic 2 we can find that due to the low value of the resistance the fan get high voltage (4.96 from 5 )V
3- we can see that the value of the voltage of the lamp still the same 1.98 V
My Desk fan
I test all components to make sure that all of them work.
I connect all the components together
After making sure from the connection i connect them to the 5 voltage adaptor
This video show the progress of the project
Turn on the switch >> the led turn on
by controlling the variable resistance >>> it controls the speed of the DC fan
1- I use the DC lamp >> it wasn't good choose because its light wasn't good in more details ,
I connect the DC lamp with 5V adaptor and the lamp needs 9V.
2. while simulation process i connect the end of the circuit with the (+ve) instead of (-ve)
so the simulation didn't work
The wrong connection
First phase of Desk fan
Try to be specific while selecting the components for the final project
Making sure from all connection to make all feature work with the perfect functionality.
This week we make a small competition . We made a Sumo car using 2DC motors and push-bottons using the H-bridge circuit to control both wheels. Our team AOA reach the final stage and won the first place
