Final Project Proposal
Project Ideation
1- Tell us about the purpose of your project. Which problem does it solve? Why do you care about this? What were you inspired by? Include images and videos of similar projects
when i was at my last year in my collage, My passion was to visualize mental and physical illnesses into art paintings, though we can be more aware of the disease, deal with the patient more consciously and compassionately, The way that art is seen from my point of view is that it tries to express the world as seen by the person who suffers along with conveying his emotions and feelings as well as the images he sees, My passion started since being an undergraduate and I kept working on it till my graduation project, it was about visualizing the feeling of the people in the case of vegetative state Through an art painting, I got inspired by Martin Pistorius, he suffered from this case at 12 years old (for 12 years ago), he wrote this after he woke up (The things and memories that we love stay in our heart till the end of our lives, they don't wear off).
The problem that I want to tackle is about how we deal and cope with people in a coma especially ( the vegetative state), also how to help them with simple actions as they are most probably aware of every single thing surrounding them, it is very common widespread situations that many of us face it in our lives and most of us have no solution of how to deal.
I kept searching on this topic two years after my graduation till I found that many films, plays, and books tackle this issue, not this special case of coma that I am speaking about but in general, then I realized that i need more steps which is more than art, i need to mirage many majors together, as Albert Einstein said :logic will get you from A to B, Imagination will take you everywhere,I need these two steps together, I feel I did one step which is imagination through this two years ago, but now I need the logic to continue this process, I start to think about my passion in a holistic way from different aspects, through learning more about product design.

2- Describe the project idea and general features. How would it work?
how the deceive work
1_behind each letter on the board there is LED, the light will go from the first LED to the other in a sequence of time, till the user will choice which letter he want with the push bottom, and he will hear a bazer sound or the sound of letter.
Note:an visualization for the sequences of moving the lights in board
2_ according to which letter the user choose, for instance if he choose letter (أ), so the LCD ( this green rectangle) will appear on it the first choice (امشي)and then the first LED from the four LED will light at the same time.
3_ then the second choice will appear (أنام) and the second LED will light at the same time.
4_then the third choice will appear (أكل) and the third LED will light at the same time.
5_then the fourth choice will appear ( أشرب) and the fourth LED will light at the same time, so for instance if the user will choose this last choice so he will press on push bottom, and he will hear the sound of the bazzer or the word (أشرب).
6_ then the user will repeat the same process again by choosing new letter and new choice.
3- Sketch your project: You may use pen and paper or a simple sketching tool like Microsoft Paint or Photoshop

an visualization for the spelling the board when i will mount the component in, the spelling board looks like the TV with an rectangle hallow in the middle

4- Describe the Technical Modules that your project consists of
Construction Parts
plywood laser cut
Input (Sensing and/or User)
Push bottom
Action
LED for light_ using lcd
Brain
Arduino
Power Management
dc adopter
5- Create a cardboard prototype of your project, demonstrating the project face as well as internal movements and mechanisms. Include a demo video and photos of the prototype.
so i started by knowing the standard measurement of the face for human, as the core of the design is to let the one who will hold the board interact with the patient
then knowing the standard average of size of the hand
The measurement of the board
6- Categorize your project’s User Features into: Minimum, Complete, and Nice-to-have features. List the required action and input components per feature.
Minimum Features: are the least amount of features that would demonstrate the coverage of all the technical modules and their complete integration
Complete Features: are the set of features that will complete your original project objective and vision
Nice-to-have Features: are the extra set of features that will make the project cooler, yet they need extra time, effort, and/or resources to finish
Minimum User Features
Action: lighting 2 letters with the LED
sound for (2 letters or buzzer sound )
4 choices on LCD
sound of those 4 choices
User Input: the push bottom
Complete User Features
Action: lighting 6 letters with the LED
sound of (6 letters or buzzer sound)
24 choices on the LCD
the sound of those 24 choices
Sensing: ldr sensor if someone become near to the device it will open
User Input: the push bottom
Nice-to-have User Features
Action: lighting the 28 letters
sound of (28letters or buzzer sound)
24 choices on the LCD
sound of those 112choices
User Input: letting the person save his on data like saving the contacts on our mobile phone
