virtual campus tours

The junior AVID class has been focusing on exploring college campuses in a variety of ways. If in-person field trips are not possible, we utilize technology and complete virtual tours through the universities or through the TV show, Campus Tour on Amazon Prime. This allows students to explore a variety of campuses from the comfort of their classroom.

Socratic Seminars

Students have been participating in Socratic Seminars where they engage in academic discourse about a variety of topics. This January, they worked to define what ethical leadership was and provide concrete examples of who fit that definition. After an engaging discussion, students synthesized their learning in a written reponse.
